Come visit Retro Rescue, located on Brookton Highway, near the corner of Peet Road, Roleystone – it is “chock full” of interesting artefacts from a bygone era.
Andrew and Annie have created a quirky retro store full of surprises, pick up anything and there’s something interesting in between, look up to the ceiling, there are vinyl records splashed across it.
They keep a close eye on their popular Facebook page Retro Rescue Antiques & Collectables where they already have over 600 likes. A good place to watch if you’re looking for something interesting to liven up the loungeroom or bedroom? New items are often SOLD on the page before the doors are open for business. Andrew has a passion for upcycling kitchen cabinets, chests of drawers and just generally for tinkering. He can build anything!
Staff member, Jo, recently purchased a cane chair – a comfortable, old fashioned potty-seat, complete with a brand new bucket underneath! What an surprising chair to sit upon!
Andrew and Annie welcome Roleystone and hills locals to visit their shop in person and have a cuppa and a bit of a yarn – Annie’s dad sometimes stops in for a cuppa too. When you visit you’ll hear a story about the latest find (check out the “radio rocker chair”!) and the all important kettle is always on the boil, giving the whole shop a rather homely feel.
Please help us welcome Andrew and Annie to the local area and support them by stopping by sometime soon!
